We had some really exciting news this week when we received an invitation to London as one of 2o finalists (out of 4,000!) for AA Friendliest Landlady of the Year 2008, the celebratory luncheon is on Wednesday 4th June - so watch this space!!
We have been really busy outside in the garden, I say 'we' but it was really Nick's brother's company 'Raynershine'; who do garden design and landscaping; they have come and removed our lawn, levelled the garden and resown it, so we should end up with a beautiful lawn. Nick and I had discussed this idea last Summer but when two horses decided to explore during the Winter we decided it was probably as good a time as any to improve the lawn!!
Nick has again beaten his brother, Tim, by being the first one to spot a Swallow, this is an annual competition between the brothers which Tim has only ever won once!
It is forecast to warm up next week so we should be able to put our Winter hats and gloves away soon!
